Last step in the Cinque Terre Park, the southernmost and largest of the five cities, Riomaggiore
For a pleasant change, outside the train, the car, and boat, you can come to Riomaggiore to Manarola the Via dell'Amore. The Via dell'Amore is the path between the two cities. It takes about half an hour to make the journey.
The town of Riomaggiore is composed of a large and very lively street shopping. You will come across people in the streets with paper cones filled with fried seafood. It is a culinary specialty of the Cinque Terre.
For architecture lovers, you can visit the many religious buildings in the city and the castle on the heights of Riomaggiore. At the station, you have an elevator to reach the castle.
On the bottom of the city, the sea is beautiful, with its small port, its cliff for a gazebo, and a few rocks for swimming.

The Cinque Terre National Park is by the sea on the eastern Ligurian coast. The park includes five villages, Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Riomaggiore. The main feature of this landscape is that the man was terraced for its agricultural activities.
Since 1997, the Cinque Terre National Park is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
To visit the Cinque Terre, we recommend if you stay several days in the area not to stay in the villages but in the back country or otherwise in Levanto or in the Gulf of Poets.
Indeed the Cinque Terre is a place much visited a tourist impressive mass. In addition to travel and navigate the 5 villages, there is a train system from Levanto Spezia or simple to use.
